Heritage
The fortified seat of the Peshwas. Start at the massive Delhi Darwaza.
Once a seven-storied palatial fort and seat of the Peshwas until 1818. A fire in 1828 destroyed most of the wooden structure, but the massive basalt foundations and the spike-studded Delhi Gate remain as a testament to Pune's golden era.
Built in 1732 by Bajirao I, the first Peshwa.
